Friday May 29th
Everyone is a little confused on the time situation because to us it feels like it is nighttime but it is really 9am. We finally arrive at our hotel around 12 in the afternoon and we have the day to ourselves, until the team meeting at 6 30pm. Chris Hurst, Chris Basler, Cooper MacDonnell and I go to a local pub for lunch. Here I have honestly one of the best cheeseburgers I have ever had in my life. We then take the next 2-3 hours to just walk around Scotland and take some pictures. Our hotel is right in heart of this town called Stirling. We have a great time and everyone is feeling exhausted so we do what your not suppose to do and take a long nap. We wake just in time for the team meeting where we go over all the ground rules for this trip. We then stay in the hotel and for dinner and are greeted by a Scottish bag pipe player who leads the team to dinner, this was very cool. We have dinner as a team and then have some more free time to walk around Stirling. A couple of friends and I decide to grab some food at a local pub then make our way back to the hotel named The Golden Lion.
Thursday May 28th
We are all very excited to embark on this great trip. For most of the team it will be our first time going over to Europe and in such a large group as well. This is mostly a day of traveling and we basically loose this Thursday from all of the time difference. This was by far the most traveling I have ever done in my life and I am excited for what this trip has in store for all of us. The plane ride was a very peaceful one and we had a one hour layover in Paris. We finally arrive in Scottland on Friday morning.
